Tomorrow I leave on a big adventure. I am going to Guatemala as a volunteer and team member of a medical mission trip. I will act as a patient advocate, translating patients' needs and doctors questions. I am volunteering through Faith In Practice, an ecumenical Christian based non-profit organization that serves the medical and dental needs of the poor in Guatemala. Our team specializes in surgery and we will help many people from our post in Antigua, Guatemala. We also have a team dentist. I will take one small carry on and use my luggage allowance for the trunks shown in the photo above. They contain medical supplies of all kinds that are needed for the surgeries that will be performed. I will post pictures and more trip detail upon my return so that you can share in this great experience.

MY BIG ADVENTURE
